Episode I - The Phantom MenaceWhile this film has the moments that make it worth your time and can hold its own, having one too many useless characters and/or aspects to the plot become too noticeable to overlook to make it a solid film all around. Within the franchise, the developmental aspects this adds, and overall iconic implementations, it's worth your time for Star Wars fans, but only for entertainment purposes.

Episode III - Revenge of the SithTrying to weigh the focus of this film onto a plot that is not worth it, hands the reigns to too many slow additions within the story that take away from the Star Wars feel that everyone loves. Poor acting and dull dialogue only heighten the feeling that makes this not as entertaining as others. Be that as it may, the substantial final act makes up for the loss of time in the film and is enough alone to make this worth talking about within the series.

Episode II - Attack of the ClonesAs a result of multiple subplots, an inconsistent tone/directing, and poor character development makes for this to be easily forgotten. Within the franchise or standing alone, this is ultimately disappointing as the majority of its key and prominent factors are proven to be worthless.

Episode IV - New HopeConsidering both the time this was made and the fact that it is timeless, this film was a cultural reset that will never go out of style. Led by an innovative and clear tone, powerful characters, and stellar directing, the iconic world this creates makes for a film that is just the beginning of a franchise that deserves to be seen by everyone.

Episode V - The Empire Strikes BackBeing my personal favorite, this film goes in-depth with deep character development, plenty of action, and adds more heart to the ongoing series. Providing details that only intensify the exciting aspects that Star Wars brings, standing alone or within the series, this is enjoyable both cinematically and for your entertainment.

The Force AwakensDespite the fact that this is a complete re-make of A New Hope (done in a poor way), it lost all the aspects that Star Wars has going for it: its direction, tone, the heart of the story, and the distinct aspects that it's known for. With some, small and few, positive characteristics to offer, the negative aspects overtake the good, making this the start to the sequel trilogy that shouldn't have been made.

Episode VI - Return of the JediMatching the notably powerful performances from the previous two films, the priority and rationality of the script and the importance of the directing got away from this during production. The enjoyability and vibe that comes with this overall don't change, rather doesn't top the previous films within the series as it lost a little bit of its spark.

Rouge One: A Star Wars StoryGenuinely proving to be a great addition within the franchise, even being just a story, this is both relevant and practical. Making sense within the series, by adding context, this effortlessly captures the tone and essence that is Star Wars. Not to mention the quality action, characters, and storyline this offers, it's safe to say this is a recent production that doesn't force a fake tone onto the audience.

The Last JediAdmittedly, though there are only a few plot holes and useless characters, they were prominent enough to take over in a bad way. Nevertheless, this film finally creates the vibe of the original trilogy, showcases the powerful and antsy antagonist, and isn't half bad. With certain aspects bogging down the good ones, this still was enjoyable, provided a decent Star Wars story, and gets hated on to a greater extent for no reason.

Solo: A Star Wars StoryTrying too hard to force something that didn't need to be done, clearly, the struggle of providing something with substance shows throughout this film. Having noticeably one depth personality characters, boring action sequences, and a predictable plot undeniably stand out and make for a film that doesn't go as far as ruing the character but comes close.

THE MANDALORIAN - SEASON TWOComing back with another season that effortlessly achieves the Star Wars tone, the second season of The Mandalorian may not be as great as the first, but is without a doubt worth your time. As many of the episodes fell into a routine storyline, taking the same turn of events with the same rudimentary conflicts, it doesn't hinder the involving and entertaining story this creates. Providing a matchless protagonist that is unlike anyone else (especially in the Star Wars world) and intense, unique action, while it can be easy to criticize some guessable scenes and foreseeable events, this still provides the incomparable character/series that is both cinematically pleasing and entertaining.

THE MANDALORIAN - SEASON ONE
This is a recent production in the Star Wars franchise to actually achieve the unspoken feelings of a Star Wars product. Focusing on the protagonist who is flawed and not the stereotypical hero, it takes you along a journey that is intriguing from start to finish. Casted, written, and choreographed uniquely, it brings both high adrenaline action moments and mellow aspects to satisfy both Star Wars fans and non-Star Wars fans alike. While I will say some episodes are better than others, it's not pressing, as the effortless and truly captivating progression of the story takes over.

THE BOOK OF BOBA FETTDeveloping an entire series from scratch around the background of a character that no one has longed for, without the rescue of the Mandalorian, this series would have been helpless. Within the seven-episode series, the moments centered around the main character, Boba Fett, were the ones that were the most boring and hard to stay engaged. The appearance of the Mandalorian and characters from his series steal the spotlight within their small screen time and stand as the only logical ingredients presented. The creation of Boba Fett's headlined series may try to bring to life a character that has been put on the backburner for years, but with poor time management, unappealing subject matter, and a character that doesn't have this much development in store, it becomes clear this character is just as unnecessary as this series. Feeling, if anything, as a teaser for season three of The Mandalorian, the best aspects this presents have nothing to do with Boba Fett himself.

THE RISE OF SKYWALKEREven with a select few mesmerizing scenes, they weren't substantial enough to hold everything together, as the overwhelming negative aspects outshine the positive. While I can admit, visually, this was a compelling film and offers a captivating picture, it never correlated with the Star Wars feeling. Still being a must see for all Star Wars fans, this is not a solid film standing alone or in the franchise.
